I would say not getting a second opinion or researching the strategy or plan at the outset. Sadly, most people trust the first person they meet and do not seek alternative advice or solutions. Sadly some people stop as soon as they see a negative picture. This could also be due to a lack of advice and guidance at a […]
Can I make money if I stop contributing?
This can be very difficult. Charges are low and cost effective if each payment is made. The opposite is true if each payment is not made. Stopping payments mean you have no bonus or added extras. You have to cover the high charges on the initial units with investment growth alone. This can happen if the markets fly positively. However […]
If somebody wants to stop their investment plan what options are available?
There are many options. Keep investing if it makes sense to do so. Stop investing. Surrender. Change plans or investment providers. Surrender is the option that needs the most careful consideration! I am concerned or would like to know more about my current investments
I encourage second opinions. You will be very surprised how the charges can change when brokers or advisors are competing for your business. In lump sum investment over £50,000 or $75,000 or pension transfers QROPS/SIPPS the charges can significantly change. I have saved clients over £50,000 in 5 years in charges alone, simply by lowering the annual charge to clients.
Who buys these plans?
In reality anyone can but the plans. Mainly expatriates with little to no other option available.
